About Leafra
An AI plant companion for people whose plants are part of the family.
Why we exist
Most plant apps tell you what a plant is. Leafra tells you what a plant needs — in your language, for your climate, at the moment you actually need it.
We started Leafra because one out of every three houseplants sold in Europe dies in the first year. Not because their owners don’t care — they care a lot. They just don’t have a knowledgeable friend in the room when the leaf tips start to brown.
What we believe
- Plants deserve a translator. The signals are there; most of us just can’t read them yet.
- Accuracy beats charisma. One confidently wrong ID can kill a plant. We’d rather say “not sure” than guess.
- Five languages, lived-in. Not Google Translate copy. Each locale has its own voice, its own folk names, its own climate zones.
- No dark patterns. No paywall traps, no ad networks, no data selling. Ever.
Who we are
Leafra is a small product team based in İstanbul, with teammates in Berlin, St. Petersburg and Madrid — the same cities whose climates we tuned the app for first.
Where we’re going
Private beta is open now (join the waitlist). TestFlight and Play Console invites roll out this spring. Public launch before summer.
